1. You need to spend some time learning search engine optimization. Some of the best traffic you can get comes from search engines such as Google and Yahoo. You will do not have to become an expert at this, but you should understand the basics of key words and how to get back links to your website or blog.

2. You want to automate as much of your business is possible using auto responders. These are an excellent way to build your list and do email marketing as well and as answer questions and teach people about your business.

3. Take the time to get out and be seen in areas such as forums and using article marketing and blogging to brand yourself. You want people to think of you as an expert in the niche that your business is in.

4. Take the time to do email marketing the right way. We mentioned having an autoresponder, but building relationships with your list is the key to making a more profitable Internet business. You do this by providing valuable information for free, and then mixing in products that you sell.

5. Pay per click advertising is the fastest way to generate traffic for Internet business. It’s also an actual way to automate your business, because once you have your campaign set up in a profitable manner it pretty much runs itself.

6. Started blogging and learn how to do social networking with social bookmarking. Blogging is an actual way to make money on the Internet today as well as get your message out very inexpensively.

You can either write the blog articles yourself or hire someone to do it for you. The key is to social bookmark your blog post to the proper social directories. This will create back links to your site, serve as search engine bait for your keywords, and send traffic to you from the directories themselves.

This is six ways to make your Internet business more profitable. You do not have to spend a lot of money to make money on the Internet today if you do it correctly.
